Stages of a New Custom Website Design Process

1. Discovery: During the first meeting, it is information gathering to understand your business and the needs of a website. We ask some questions: What are the goals that you hope to achieve through it? What is the purpose of a website? What is your pain on why you need the new website? What is your target audience- for who, a specific group? What kind or type of website? Which web pages help to meet your business goals? What features would you like to have on your web pages?
2. Research: We will research to gather some information relates to your business. We will look at different websites in your industry. What features have to be included, etc. To understand better so that we can build up your website clearly according to your business plan & purpose.
3. Planning: With all the data & information that we gathered, we make a plan on how to process from beginning to end. Use it as the guideline to design & build the website or web pages what they should look like & how to help the visitors to navigate. The plan installation helps to clarify the objectives for the site. It saves time & money.
4. Design: We design the website in a wireframe or mockup & sitemap-like blueprint of your future website. Then we will show you what your website or web pages should look like and a map of your website. The wireframe shows the basic web page elements like header, navigation, widgets, etc. And the relationship between the web pages. Then move into a more realistic mockup with visual elements like colors, fonts, images, photos, icons, etc. We create a logo if necessary.
5. Content: Content writing in Google Docs or MS Word; what kind of text that you want to show on your web pages and headlines. How you would like to communicate to your audience and what kind of calls-to-action. You need to provide the text and content for us to put on the website or pages. Without content, we cannot move on to the next stage.
6. Development: We can finally start building up your website by coding (HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript) according to everything that we discussed and planned, wireframe, and mockup. We create the home page first before the other pages. We also do the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) like title, description, keywords to help your website to achieve higher search engine ranking.
7. Testing and Review: We will test your website in different web browsers to make sure the links are working when clicking them; cross-browser compatibility. We also test the site on different devices including different mobile-friendly views. We do the spell-checking for typos. User testing We use code validators to ensure that the website's code is working and follows the current web standards. Then we will upload the website files online on the temporary space to test and for the client to review it before launching it for real.
8. Launch It!: After the client reviews the website and 100% approves it, we will move it to a live server (your hosting). If there are a few things need to change or fix, we will do that if necessary.
